Renovations and new builds are exciting but the construction dust they leave behind is not. Our Post-Renovation & Construction Cleaning service is designed to take a finished project from “just completed” to truly move-in ready. At Lavender & Sage Co., we work with homeowners, private contractors, and builders on small to medium residential projects in Airdrie, Calgary and surrounding areas, bringing a boutique, detail-focused approach to final cleans.
What we do
Our Reno & Builder Cleans focus on fine dust removal, surface care, and floors, so new spaces feel fresh and calm instead of gritty.
In the renovated or affected areas, we typically:
-Dust and wipe reachable surfaces, including trim, baseboards, ledges, and sills
-Wipe doors, light switches, handles, and railings
-Deep clean bathrooms in the reno zone
-Detail kitchens in the reno zone, including counters, cabinet exteriors, sinks, and fixtures
-Vacuum and mop floors, often with multiple passes
-Clean interior windows and tracks where safe and reachable
Our goal is to respect new finishes, remove as much construction dust as realistically possible, and leave the home feeling ready for photos, possession, or move-in.
Rates & Minimums
Because post-renovation work is more intensive than standard cleaning, it is billed differently:
$65–$85 per hour, per professional
4 labour-hour minimum per project
Most projects require more time than the minimum. We´ll provide an estimated based on:
- Project type (basement development, kitchen reno, full floor, etc.)
- Approximate square footage
- Number of bathrooms/kitchens affected
- Dust level and site conditions
For builders, we can also provide square-foot guidance for budgeting.
Builder & Contractor Partners
We regularly support renovation contractors and small builders who need reliable final cleans.
Standard post-reno rates: $65–$85/hr per professional
For ongoing partners, we may offer 5–10% off our standard labour rates, with a minimum of $60/hr per professional, depending on project volume and scope.
If you’re a builder or contractor, we’re happy to discuss a preferred partner structure once we understand your typical project size and frequency.
For safety and clarity, our Post-Renovation & Construction Cleaning does not include:
- Removal of construction debris or large junk
- Hazardous materials (mould, asbestos, biohazard, animal waste)
- Correcting trade defects (paint overspray, caulking, grout or damage repair)
- Work requiring tall ladders or unsafe access
- Fully active construction sites with multiple trades still working
All construction debris must be removed before we arrive, and the site must have running water, electricity, and lighting.
Coverage & Compliance
We understand that builders and contractors must protect their projects and clients. Lavender & Sage Co. maintains commercial liability insurance and WCB coverage appropriate to our operations, and we can provide proof of coverage on request.
